Dee Grant

Dee is a former Artistic Director of Myriad Dance (1999-2013) in Wexford, producing numerous choreographic dance works which were shown throughout Ireland, including Dublin Fringe Festival, Dublin Dance Festivals and beyond. Dee has worked intensively alongside Local Authority Arts Officers in Mayo, Carlow, Waterford, Wexford, Wicklow and Leitrim, developing several large-scale contemporary dance performance projects & events for professional dancers, participatory groups, youth dance companies and the learning disability sectors.
For the past decade, Dee Grant has incorporated Somatic Dance concepts – namely with Developmental Movement Patterns, basic BMC principals and Authentic Movement into her own performance & choreographic practices. Dee has been particularly successfully utilising these practices working with professional contemporary dancers and amongst her dance students and community dance projects.
Dee also works with intellectual disability and mental health organisations locally. Dee lectures part-time in Movement & Dance Studies at Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland lecturing to students studying for a BA Early Childhood Studies , BA Social Care programmes & BA (Arts) Theatre Studies courses.

Maria Svensson

Maria Svensson is a professional contemporary choreographer, dancer, facilitator and early years artist who has worked for over 10 years in collaboration with other artists, organisations and companies such as Dans i Värmland, Daghdha Dance Company, Echo Echo Dance Theatre Company, Teater Martin Mutter, Cathy Walsh, Lizzie Sells, Bruno Mathez, Regina Carbayo, Mark Mc Loughlin, Jeffrey Gormly, Susie Lamb, Deborah Hay, FC/DC (Firkin Crane’s Dance Club) & BEAG under the organising partner Graffiti Theatre Company.
Maria has toured and showed work in festivals such as ABUNdance International Dance Festival, STOFF (Stockholm’s Fringe Festival), Cork Midsummer Festival, Féile na Bealtaine, NEST, Quarter Block Party, TOCHT International Dance Festival, Echo Echo Movement & Dance Festival and in venues throughout southern Ireland. She has also screened dance films at festivals in Europe, North Africa and North America, most recently at The Phoenix Cinema in Dingle which marked the finish of a two year residency (2016-2018) at An Lab, Dingle, funded by the Arts Council & Kerry County Council.
Moreover, Maria is artistic director of the solo dance festival ‘Going Solo Together‘ which takes place yearly in her hometown Örebro, Sweden. In 2017 the bilingual and inclusive version of the festival premiered in Dingle together with co-director Nick Bryson of Legitimate Bodies Dance Company.
