In this workshop Caitriona will give you prompts and exercises to help you use your sketchbook. She’ll share advice, tips and get you over that fear of staring at a blank sketchbook page.
No fancy materials required – whatever you have at hand (markers, paints, coloured pencils) – and bring your questions!

Caitriona Sweeney is an illustration artist from Dublin. She has illustrated 3 picturebooks and her fourth (A Galway Fairytale, The O’Brien Press), published this September, is the first she has written as well as illustrated.
She loves a sketchbook, having rediscovered the value of working in them over the lockdowns, she finds they are helpful for exploring, experimenting and finding your visual voice.
